Hopping and Stamping into Spring

An Art Journal Page by Corrie Herriman

I have been a long-time fan of Corrie Herriman's bright and colorful stamp art.  Her stamping really brings the images to life and I am delighted to share this tutorial she has created as a guest designer for 100 Proof Press.  Enjoy!

Don't these hares look handsome?

Corrie started off this art journal page by applying gesso to a piece of Mixed Media paper.  Then she used different colors of acrylic paints and brushed them on the page, to blend the colors she used her fingers and baby wipes and did a little smudging.  After that, Corrie stencilled polkadots in the same colors, moved the stencil a little and used white paint. Then, around some of the polkadots she applied watered-down black paint with a bottle cap, and brushed some black paint in the corners.

Corrie stamped the Large Handsome Hares on a plain sheet and on text before she decided to use the hares stamped on text on her final page.

You can see in the background here Corrie has also stamped the stylish numbers in pink and blue, and the Profit and Loss Sheet in black before adhering the Vincent Van Gogh quote.
