1) Do you have a retail store?
No, we are strictly a mail order and Internet company.

2) Can I come and visit you?
Well, yes, but I can think of many finer vacation destinations. We do not have stock ready to purchase but are more than willing to give a rubber tour. We are open from 9 am to 3 pm, Monday through Friday. Please call at least one day in advance for directions and to mentally prepare us for "the public"! Teri likes to curl her hair....and we might want to clean up a bit.

3) What shows will you be at?
Currently we are doing very little in the way of shows and conventions. We mainly stay in Ohio, participating in Stampaway, Adventures in Stamping, and Art Continuum most years.

4) What is the 100 Proof Press email list?
By joining you will be informed of updates to our site and specials available only to those "on the list." E-mailings are usually a monthly event. Joining is painless and fun. It also enters you into our monthly raffle! To find out more about the raffle, click here. To get on our mailing list send a message to Subscribe@100proofpress.com . Our email list is for use solely by 100 Proof Press. We will never sell or give out your email address. Should you ever wish to stop receiving our messages, just hit "reply" to one of them and put unsubscribe in the subject box.

5) Can I get my artwork up on your site?
The answer is a definite "maybe." We have many opportunities for participation. When you correspond with us through the mail, be sure to decorate your envelopes; they could show up on the Mail Art page. Enter our Press it out! contest; winners are published on the site. Submit artwork using only 100 Proof Press stamps and your work may end up on our Samples page. Create artwork showcasing an image of ours and upload it to the shopping section of our site. For details on how to do this go to: Upload Your Images. All artwork becomes the property of 100 Proof Press. We reserve the right to decide what artwork to publish.

6) Do you wholesale?
Yes, we wholesale to retail store fronts. If you are interested in carrying our line of rubber please fax, or mail, a copy of your vendor's license to us at Fax: 1-800-511-2100 or: PO Box 299 Athens, OH 45701.

7) Are you an "Angel Company"?
Yes, we find ourselves labeled as such! For complete copyright policy information, please read the Copyright Policy page.

8) Do you make custom stamps?
No, we do not. Custom stamps are most economically produced using laser engraving technology. We operate on magnesium plate technology which is great for producing 5000 of something, but rather cost prohibitive for "one ups." The bimonthly publication Rubberstampmaddness maintains a list of rubber stamp companies that are currently offering custom services. Their phone number is 541-752-0075.

9) How do you mount stamps?
With our RED RUBBER CUSHION, you will need an unmounted rubber stamp, the cushion, rubber cement, contact cement, and a block of wood.
A) Using a sharp scissors, trim the rubber stamp as close to the image as possible, without undercutting.
B) Using rubber cement, attach the rubber stamp to the red cushion; best adhesion is achieved when you coat both surfaces, wait for the cement to get tacky, and then press together.
C) Trim the cushion close to the rubber stamp.
D) Using a contact cement, join the cushion to the block again; it is best to coat both surfaces with adhesive.
**BE SURE TO APPLY ALL ADHESIVES IN A WELL VENTILATED AREA!**

With our GRAY SELF-STICKING CUSHION, you will need: an unmounted, untrimmed rubber stamp, the cushion and a block of wood.
A) Remove backing paper from one side of cushion.
B) Apply untrimmed stamp to cushion.
C) Trim with sharp scissors, cutting through rubber, cushion, and backing paper at the same time, being careful not to undercut.
D) Peel off the backing paper and apply the stamp to a clean, dry block of wood.

To index your new stamp, you will need sticker paper, clear contact paper, ink pad, and scissors. Using a juicy ink pad, stamp the image clearly on a piece of sticker paper (Avery makes a full sheet size available at most office supply stores). Trim close to the image and stick to the wood block. This can then be covered with clear contact paper to protect the index, if you desire. Done!

10) What is "trimmed on a cushion"?
Buying stamps "trimmed on a cushion" is a great middle of the road step to mounting your own. The rubber image (or die) is adhered to 1/8th inch thick gray foam cushion and trimmed closely on a Hagner scroll saw. The back side of the cushion has adhesive on it. The product you receive is ready for you to just peel off the backing and stick onto a piece of wood.

11) What sizes are the images?
In our print catalog the images are reproduced their actual size, making it easy for you to see what you're getting. On the Internet, however, size changes according to browsers and monitors. When shopping at our online site, the actual size of each image is listed right under the description of each stamp. Getting the catalog is still the best way for you to view our entire collection.
